Welcome

Welcome to the Lancaster City Quiz League website.

The Lancaster City Quiz League started in 1969 and currently comprises 30 teams.

They are divided into 3 divisions and play each other on a "home and away" basis. Matches are held at 8.30 each Monday night from September to May.

IMPORTANT - Division 1: Jimmy's Tap House has closed, the team are now playing at George & Dragon.

Division 2: George & Dragon have moved to the Tite & Locke at Lancaster Railway Station and will become Tite & Locke B. Consequently, the original Tite & Locke will become Tite & Locke A.

Division 3: Commodore Club have moved to the Old Hall at Heysham.

Pairs Table Quiz: The Pairs competition saw 15 teams enter and, pleasingly, all three divisions were represented. The First Division (and overall) winners were John Goodhew and Jim Pyper (Boot & Shoe B). The Second Division winners (and overall runners-up) were Roger Moorhouse and Callum Pownall (Golden Lion B). The Third Division winners were David Smith and Amy Fligelstone of the Fox & Goose A.

Many thanks to David Hesp for supplying a testing, wide-ranging and enjoyable quiz.
